Govts Urged to Intensify Efforts Against Global Warming and Pollution

 Federal and State governments have been advised to intensifies effort towards addressing the adverse impacts of global warming and pollution in the country. 

A senior lecturer from the University of Usman Danfodiyo sokoto Ibrahim Habib gave the advice at a campaign aimed at educating primary Schools pupil on climate change and the dangers of global warming held at Federal Government College, Sokoto  

The campaign which was organised by a student of geology  Aisha Abubakar was supported by the department of geology in the University.

The lecturer said the move was to ensure children are growing up with the mindset of combating the challenges of pollution and global warming .

Speaking to news men, the organiser, Aisha Abubakar particularly appealed to sokoto state government to accord priorities to tree planting in a bid to achieving eco -friendly environment in the state. 

She also called on the Federal and state governments to include climate change studies in the primary school curriculum for sustainable development. #radionigeriakaduna
